Here are a few pictures taken during the 2018 PDC. So much great information my eye is still twitching... More to come while I keep sorting through photos from the past two weeks.

One of our projects for the ATC so far was to install a grey water system for a composting toilet/grey water sink and run it to a mulch ditch with a cottonwood and some willows growing in it. The pipe drainage was dumping into a barrel that had to be emptied by hand occasionally. Now it drains directly to thirsty plants and no one has to fiddle with it. It was cool to learn how to connect pipes together and understand how to use gravity to drain your pipes where you want them.
IMG_5051.jpg
[Thumbnail for IMG_5051.jpg]
The first connection we made was from the foot pedal grey water sink to our grey water black poly pipe.
IMG_5057.jpg
[Thumbnail for IMG_5057.jpg]
Here's Mary connecting the urine diverter from the compost toilet to our poly pipe.
IMG_5061.jpg
[Thumbnail for IMG_5061.jpg]
So now we have our two connections made and are running it underground, downhill to another outdoor sink.
IMG_5066.jpg
[Thumbnail for IMG_5066.jpg]
Here we have set up the appropriate slope to drain downhill and you can see Jim burrying the pipe.
IMG_5074.jpg
[Thumbnail for IMG_5074.jpg]
Here, the second sink is connected to our underground pipe and now all three liquid sources are running to the mulch ditch.
IMG_5073.jpg
[Thumbnail for IMG_5073.jpg]
We ran the end of our poly pipe into a small bucket with holes in the bottom to prevent critters and roots from finding their way into our pipes.
IMG_5076.jpg
[Thumbnail for IMG_5076.jpg]
Then we burried the last of our grey water piping and embelished our sense of victory.

Chase, thank you for posting all those awesome photos!

This class. Both these classes. These folks were so awesome. You were so kind about my first time cooking for an event. I so appreciated all the awesome help in the kitchen. And, mostly, thank you, to the students, and Alan, and the guest instructors, and Uncle Mud, and Jim for making such a wonderful month of learning and camaraderie.

<3 <3 <3

Annnd, I'm also wondering, did any of you leave behind one of these items?

Thanks Jocelyn. Luckily I don't think I left anything behind. I'm finally back home in Arkansas and looking through the last of my pictures from the trip. There were so many great ATC photos I've gotta post one last round! Hopefully anyone interested in these courses next year can check these out and get an idea of what you're in for.
