Linnaea Farm’s Permaculture Design Certificate course takes place on the gorgeous and wild Cortes Island, a jewel in the north Coast Salish sea. Completing this immersive, hands-on course gives you a Permaculture Institute of North America (PINA) certificate, and grounds participants in the principles and ethics of permaculture design. With a theme of creating resilient systems in the face of climate chaos, this course will cover: water systems, food forest design, disaster preparedness, integrated livestock systems, urban and rural habitats, appropriate technologies and so much more. The course is delivered through an experiential learning lens, with lectures, multi-media, field trips, design projects and specialist guest instructors.

Oliver Kelmhammer (Permaculture Institute of North America Diplomate and Practicing Member) is an ecological artist, activist and writer who has been a Permaculture instructor since the early 1990’s. He is currently part-time faculty at Parsons the New School for Design (NYC).

Mike Simpson - Mike has previously instructed permaculture design courses (PDC) at the Planet Repair Institute in Portland, and at the University of Victoria's School of Environmental Studies. Mike’s formal training is in the field of urban planning, and he is currently completing a PhD in geography at the University of British Columbia.

Jodi Peters - Jodi has a BA Hons in Psychology, a Permaculture Design Certificate from Linnaea Farm, and has completed the Organic Master Gardener program from Gaia College. She completed her Permaculture Teacher Training with Jude Hobbs at OUR Eco-village. She is a resident steward at Linnaea Farm.

I took my PDC at Linnaea Farm on two years ago. Jodi Peters is an amazing teacher, and a warm and wonderful person. I don't know Oliver and Mike, but if they have been chosen by Linnaea Farm to teach a PDC, then they've gotta be great!

The Early Bird price is only on 'til February 15th - a great time to book yourself a ticket and come visit our spectacular island! You'll love it here.
Live a little! The night is young! And we have umbrellas in our drinks! This umbrella has a tiny ad:
