BRK Day 99

Tomorrow, Sunday, will be 100 days for me at Wheaton Labs....two months ago, things looked very different here: the junk pole fence around Alterton Abbey just started to get its four attached verticals on; the parking lot looked a little empty; and there weren't any hugels on the west side of the Abbey.

BRK Day 100

Oh yeah!  I did it!  ...and three weeks from today, it is very likely I could be come an Ant On Narrow Pond!!!

In three weeks, my own acre good through December 2021!!!
Just try and pay your rent for 17 months with four months of work  -most of America can not do this! Most Americans are paying 75 to 80% of their income on shelter.....imagine what you could do if your rent FOR A WHOLE YEAR was paid with FOUR MONTHS of your time!!!

No, you're not going to be on the couch playing nintendo or watching netflix while getting your buzz on  -so don't even think about it.....but you will get to do some really cool things if you try and are creative!!!

If you like food that has a higher quality than organic, want cool neighbors who have good skills, a lifestyle that isn't corporate but has good standards, this is a great place for you!

If you don't care about quality food, don't care about bad neighbors, don't care about air pollution, don't want to conserve energy, don't care you're spending most of your money on rent, don't care about lead, chlorine, fluoride, and other poisons in your water and just want to get wasted all the time, this place isn't for you.

But if you want to lose some extra fat, eat good food, drink clean water, breathe air that isn't killing you, want a positive impact on our environment, come work for four months with us, get your rent paid for a year on an acre, and gain some skill while you're at it!!!

Consecutive Post Day 101

So much happened yesterday!  Vention got his road done by Clayton and Jonathan removed some branches from the road. I did work On Narrow Pond. Then we discovered the well wasn't pumping water into our cistern; no water when I returned...but wait Josiah and Jennifer went and got water for the rest of the day and until Fred gets the well water pumping again!

I have three more weekends before I transition to Ant Village!

While only material supporters of On Narrow Pond will get pictures of my work there, I will post pictures from On Narrow Pond which don't show my projects.... but I think I will switch to another thread...I get permission from Paul to start another Ant Village Thread since it has been a long time since Ant Village had a new inhabitant.

Yesterday, we got a load of junk pole in the morning and did gardening in the afternoon -I did chop and drop; found all of my planted potatoes inside the paddock had sprouted and grown 3 to 10 inches (now if they mature)!

Consecutive Day 103

Tuesday we fitted, junk pole, did road work with the tractor and in the afternoon Scott and I went and got water with Judy.  Judy is definitely fun to take out and fun to take home  -nothing like a fire truck to make the kid come out in a person!

After Taco Tuesday, we (Clayton, Jen, Josiah, and me) did a little FreeCad learning session -we are going to learn to use this open source 3D parametric modeler a couple of nights a week!  Then Himalyan yoga to keep our bodies flexible and happy....can't think of a better place to learn sooooo many things!

You can get FreeCad here: FreeCad Downloads

We recommend you start here for FreeCad: FreeCad Tutorials

Consecutive Day 104

Yesterday, I diluted some compost tea Josiah made and put compost tea on the Alterton Abbey Hugels while Scott built junk pole fence and Clayton worked on the road to the tipi. Fred took Jonathan to put compost on some trees on his lot and later, I took a turn on the tractor.

In the afternoon Fred and Josiah taking care of fuel, hugel water, and honey cans. The rest of us collected junk pole and delimbed them.

Consecutive Day 106

Friday saw junk pole placement, tractor road cutting, and I broke off to do game cams which you can see here: wild life cams

A new Boot showed up last night during our Friday Night Documentary, "Greening the Desert by Geoffery Lawton", the ten years later video of the same site, and a youtube woman we refer to as Chinese Gert (all of her videos are in Mandrin with Manrin titles).

Welcome Scott D! His Boot Camp thread is here: Scotty D's Boot Camp Thread

nope, but if you get your butt out here, you can experience yourself what "before" feels like and "after" feels like!  then all need to ask suddenly disappears!
