This is a badge bit (
BB) that is part of the
PEP curriculum. Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in
woodland care.
Junkpole fences are nifty ways of turning a forest fire fuel material into a
fence to keep critters in or out of an area. If built with some creativity they can be made with minimal fasteners.

Junkpole fence: Freaky cheap
Minimum requirements:

Deer proof (eight feet high)
- Will hold
chickens in (no gaps that a layer hen could get through)
- Joinery that will last at least seven years
To get certified for this BB post the following as pics or video (<2 min):
- Area without a fence
- Fence under construction
- Completed fence
- Show details of every type of joint
Clarifications:
- Building a fence section as short as 10.5' will still count for this BB
- This BB assumes that the posts or rock jacks are already in place
- Harvesting junkpoles is a different BB
