I'm not opposed to harvesting my animals for eatin time. However, y'all have added enough in there that should please any type of crowd.
I figured there would be some regular reading in there but its mostly a list of tasks to complete. The explanations must have been mostly at the first chapter.
The sneak peek lets me know what type of book it is. And really gets me back in the game after a stall out on my part. All in all... I like what I see.

Thanks Bill, yes the first 12 chapters, and the last 6, cover the who, what, why, where and errata of SKIP.  We figured we'd throw out a "badge" chapter to see what people think.  Thanks for the feedback!

Mike, so you're saying that the SKIP book will provide information on how to do each of the tasks? Or will it just link to the forums showing what other people have done to complete the BB?

Hi Robin, the chapter linked above is as in-depth as we get on completing the tasks.  Imagine how long the book would be if we gave instructions for each of those BBs!  Luckily that's where the power of the internet comes to save us.  The PEP program tells you how to prove you did the task to our specifications.   All those specifications are laid out in permies.com and the details for a few featured BBs are included in each chapter.  Youtube, your local library and/or your Grandpa can guide you in how to actually do any of the tasks.

I left some notes in there today. A little late perhaps. Not sure what the time frame is for feedback. I haven't read any other excerpts, so I was shooting from the hip. I think over all it is pretty great, and I am excited to get my copy, however, I realize the comments can sound a bit negative, but of course, I am only trying to help improve the product. This was cool to get a glimpse, so thanks for posting this. Does every chapter get this treatment from the community? I might have to start paying closer attention.

Thanks for the feedback Kevin!  The BBs are pretty much set at this point so the cattle comments you had aren't going to change anything.  That is a higher level badge at that point so it is deliberately a bit harder to get.

We're not planning to share too many more chapters with the general public but we do have some reviewers who are helping with the rest of the book.
