There are times as a photographer that things just don't turn out the way you want them to. This mother and baby rhino at Singapore Zoo refused to have their portrait taken, turning away in disgust. Little did they realise what a fun view they created and gave me the opportunity to take this photograph.
Last weekend was bonfire night. We sat out on Friday night, sitting around a small fire which gave of nearly no heat. There were no fireworks, just the regular 2 minute passing of a private jet and our neighbours security light that comes on for 10 seconds every 90 seconds. Saturday night made up for it though, as we celebrated in front of a much bigger fire at friends of ours from England - we even had sparklers. And s'mores, which were frankly disgusting! Sorry lovely people of the US, too much of your food is just way to sweet and Herseys is not chocolate . . . (but neither is Cadburys
Dairy Milk). Sunday was spent resting, mostly watching Rugby and England beating Tonga and NZ.
Monday on wards, back to doing more
BB's. I focused on trying the food and preservation badge. Cooking was my first passion and I've been a home cook for forty years. You'd think it would be easy. Once again, I fail to read all the requirements. I forgot to take a picture of the underside of my pizza and I didn't take a picture of my watch when I put the rice in my haybox. I had an unsuccessful trip to Costco. My homemade
rocket stove is a toxic stove. Then I got my first down vote, which made me very sad. It also made me reflect on the couple of times I've used it. It wasn't a good day. I bounced back and worked on my knitting and mulled over the continuation of my rocket journey. The big highlight of the week was discovering
www.AzureStandard.com - a suggestion in the Alternatives to Amazon conversation. I've signed up here and will see how it works out. The town I'm moving to doesn't have a
local distribution person, which I see as a future opportunity and hopefully meet like minded people.
