A recent change to the forum software has made a few things a bit wonky. If you notice a problem, please report it here and we'll try to get on top of it!

I usually click on the last post link to catch up with a thread I've already read. The last few days it takes me to the first post, not the last.
Not a big deal, but may point to a larger problem.

Good one Joe. I think all of the jump-to-post stuff is currently not working.

Stuff I am aware of so far:

- Sometimes URLs have a big long bunch of gobbledygook on them.

- People using IE cannot currently post.

- jump-to-post not working

I can confirm the inability to post using Internet Explorer.

To fix this I googled "Java update" and ran through the Oracle update.
Then I googled "download Chrome" and ran through the install.

The fact that I'm posting now is self explanatory.

Sorry if that's way too basic for you computer savvy folk, but I wanted to let people know that there is a simple free work-around.

Oh yeah, this was driving me crazy earlier this evening. I wrote out a long post, with links and stuff and when I posted it I got a CSRF (I think) error. The message suggested that I had walked away from the page for too long and I thought that might be right.

However, after trying to recreate the post twice and getting the same error, I was getting frustrated.

Yesterday, I had the the problem posting (using Firefox).
Nothing I tried would get around the problem...even "Reload" would just reload the error message.

I logged out, then logged in again. End of problem.
I believe that it may be an issue of the cookie/token expiring.
If you encounter this problem, I would suggest hitting the "Reload" button every few minutes.
(If you are going to post, 'Reload' first, then write your post, knowing that you have a fresh cookie.)
That should refresh the cookie often enough to circumvent the problem.

Reloading seems to work for me just now. Thumbs up worked on your post John and if this message posts, reloading works for that also. Previously the thumbs up function would not work and I couldn't post...for both I would get the error notice.

and it still works in an edit.

For people's information, there is also an issue with registering on the forum with both Chrome and Firefox.

Just noticed when you make an edit the date/time stamp is missing...

I get the error page unless I reload every time I post and the same with a thumbs up. I hadn't noticed the edit time/date being missing until Joe mentoned it.

I can only post & respond to personal messages through my kindle. Get errors with IE. Not the most efficient. & a bit frustrating.

Trying to post from my husband's login from my husband's computer. I've not been able to post for DAYS and it makes me sad. Very very sad.

This seems to work, but I can not get it to work on my own computer, with my own registration, etc.

So, so sad.

This is Tyler Ludens, a sad person.

I updated Firefox to 18.0.1. I could not log in, and could not retrieve my password. Error message "Could not find account based on information you supplied." Even though the email address is the one for my account, the one on which I receive Paul's dailyish email.

Still very sad. Giving up for tonight.

Test to see if IE works.

OK that seems to work for me. Thanks !

It did make the log on screen bigger, I guess I just have to adjust that under view?

I really wish I could do what you all can do.

It seems that it was just the first screen I saw. When I went to recent posts the page went back to normal.

OK that is weird, it only happens on the pages that have the graphic of fukuokas birthday on the top. I just clicked through all of the options at the top of the page and the only time it happens is when that graphic shows up
