Seems there has been lots of good news lately around alternative energy, recognition that something serious needs to change around fossil fuels, and now "The Monsanto Years", Neil Young's new album adding more publicity to the changes that need to happen.

Is it possible we're at the tipping point?

Maddy has just posted this on her facebook page -

US permies, we need your help!

Permaculture magazine have been invited to hold a stall on Neil Young’s US Tour & we need volunteers to run the stall at the different concerts.

This is a chance to get a free ticket to see Neil Young & spread permaculture. See end of article for tour dates/venues & who to contact if you’re available!

Deadline for this is end of the day Sunday 5th July.

Here's the link to the article - http://www.permaculture.co.uk/news/2906156387/neil-young-invites-permaculture-tour

Any volunteers?

well, ahem....surprise Steve and I would love to do that..... We've been checking it out already and I think everything is too far for our budget even with free tickets...........usually we see him in Chicago or St Louis....two states away is about our limit unfortunately.
these are the venues...looks like a great opportunity especially for you east coast permies.....

Oh Poo! No stops near us. Otherwise I would volunteer as quickly as ants on a picnic.

If anyone sees Mr Young, please tell him that people on the Left Coast of Canada love his music and permaculture too.

Looking forward to living vicariously through those who do participate. Please let us know all about it!

Canadian content laws on radio, ensure that we all heard lots of Neil Young, as early as I can remember. Somewhere around 30% of programming must be of Canadian origin. Thus we hear lots of Neil, Gordon Lightfoot, Alanis Morissette, Pete Seeger, Steppenwolf, Rush, Joni Mitchell. ...

I've heard enough Celine Dion, Sheniah Twain and Michael Buble to last several lifetimes. I never need to hear Loverboy, Kim Mitchell or the children's entertainer Raffi, ever again.

But thanks Neil for putting this all together !!
