This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in textiles.

In this project, you will quilt a small bag. It should be made of natural or repurposed fabrics. Woven fabrics are more suited to this than knitted. Plant fibres are generally less prone to stretching than wool, but felted wool can make a sturdy bag. Leather is also a good option, though--like felted wool--is usually more bulky.

Here are some quilted bag tutorials:

Sew a super adorable Tiny Bag - free pattern!

Quilted Bag Patterns You Need to Make

Badge bit requirements:
- must have backing or lining
- must have at least six different pieces of fabric on the outside
- must be able to hold items
- must have cloth straps attached so it can be held by hand or over the shoulder, or a drawstring
- must be made from natural or repurposed fibres

To document your completion of the BB, provide proof of the following as pics or video (less than two minutes):
-  your pieces of fabric cut out
-  the inside of your bag
-  the finished front of your bag, with mention of what fibres  you used.

I really needed a new bag for all my markers. It's made out out quilt scrap and old blue jeans. Even the zipper. The only thing I don't like is how side zips make it look a little lumpy.
