Hello S Rogers,
What a FABULOUS post! This directory is great to peruse…
We’re fairly new to the Asheville NC area & ive already seen a few groups that caught my eye AND I had no idea that they existed.
What a great resource.
Thank you so much!

Does anyone; remember Ray Konrath  /  who had intentions for an intentional community on Highway 6 North of Arthur, Ontario, Canada ?  Here is some references, to him; although I haven't found much, relating to his dream for a community.  https://uwaterloo.ca/mennonite-archives-ontario/personal-collections/reinhold-ray-konrath  The farm North of the village of Arthur in Ontario Canada, that he had owned with intentions of establishing an intentional community; is now being cash-cropped commercially.

I copied & pasted the following, from the abovementioned URL :
Biographical sketch: Reinhold (Ray) Konrath (23 Jun 1930-12 Jun 2016) was an auto mechanic. He was born in Yugoslavia to German parents, and later immigrated to Canada, living in Kitchener, Ontario. He was a lay student of Hutterite history.

As I recall; his dream community, wasn't able to attract enough people to get it "off the ground” & self-sustainable.

I have found the directory to be helpful, we're on the interest list for one cohousing community we learned about and toured a while back, and we're touring another potential possability on Sat.!  Both of which I originally heard about in the FIC directory, so it really does work.
