!!! October Rocket Mass Heater days! Wheaton Labs October 11-17

Winter is coming and this is a great time to get to know all about how to heat your home or work space with a rocket mass heater!


The best way to learn about rocket mass heaters is to use one and really feel the heat.  
Come out to Wheaton Labs these first two weeks of October.  We have 24 rocket heaters currently in operation.  You can run them all if you want!


Rent one of our beautiful cabins.  The rocket mass heater will keep you cozy all night and the cabin will still be warm in the morning when you wake up!

If you want, you can come down to the main house and join us for breakfast.   We have the permaculture bootcamp running Monday - Friday working on rocket mass heaters and other fun projects.  

Tuesday is community night when we all get together for tacos and share what we have been up to.

We have warm bunks in the solarium and in the fisher price house

It sounds like there will be ten people in the bootcamp during this week.  

This morning the boots talked about possible projects.   The key is that the more people we have here, the bigger the project.  

For smaller projects:

 - upgrades to the FPH RMH
        - pull out the mass, new ducts and new supports for the mass
        - pebble leak in one corner
        - removable cob hat with oven feature

  - upgrades to the bun warmer

  - upgrade the finish layer in the tipi (if the tipi is open)

Stephen thinks we should build a hypocaust.

A full rocket mass heater could go in the yoga yurt.

Other ideas?
