The Adventure Builder Movie

So... I have youtube channel and mostly I make videos about building things, and living off grid, and philosophy etc.  Last year I decided to make a full length movie.  My main goal was just to make something watchable, and to also tell a very personal story even though it's super embarrassing when that person is me.
One of my fans said, "Jaimie.  Seriously.  This is honestly the best movie I've ever seen."  He was horrible biased in my favour, but I'll take it.  So, without further ado, or doo doo... here's my going off grid movie which is probably not the best movie you've ever seen, but might be worth watching.

My family has often joked about making a movie, of our own life's experience's, good for you for actually doing just that.

I was laughing so hard at the part where you said, nothing left but a bottle full of feelings! How often in life is that to true.😏🙂

That movie was awesome. Jaimie, you are awesome. What an inspiration.

If anyone reads this and has not watched the movie, you seriously do have the time to watch it. Make some time. Stay up late. Just watch it. It is important.

Hey, Nicole.  Thanks!  I'm glad you liked it.    You never know how people are going to take it when doing something like this.    Now I'm curious about what adventures your family has had.  I think I'd be more inclined to watch other people's crazy movies than the stuff that comes out of Hollywood.

...and yes.  Often in life all you've got left is a bottle of feelings.  Luckily they can be useful.

I am smiling here with you, with all my heart. I think your movie will poke people from the right places and do good things. A lot of good things.

I hope that's true!  That's exactly why I started making videos online in the first place.    ...to encourage a few people here and there to do the things they want to do even though people discourage them.

Ha ha.  Yeah, youtube is silly.  I go on there and they show my nothing I want to see.
OK, styrocrete recipe.  It changes a little now and then based on what I'm doing, but basically...
1 part cement
8 parts styrofoam bits
Enough water to make it sticky but not runny.  I can't remember a measurement for this.
Sometimes I'll add 1 part sand, but I ended up deciding that the sand wasn't important.

Thanks!  I feel like my youtube stuff was going downhill for a while there.  ...dealing with annoying personal garbage.  It's all sorted now, though, so I think it's getting better again.  I definitely feel a lot better having gotten a bunch of energy draining people out of my life.

Now you're making me more curious about this crazy life your family has.  I take it you're not planning to share, but... if you're up to it I'd love to hear some stories.

I feel like this should be mandatory watching for anyone with depression. Your 1000 parts method is a lot like my 'non-zero day' method - as long as I do 1 task that isn't a short-term task, I can feel comfortable that I have made progress towards the future. If I'm feeling especially down I go easy with myself on the definition of short-term. Maybe I feel horrible and I just do something that I will need to do again in a month or two - okay, forgiven.

I started watching this movie too late last night, but finishing it was the first thing I wanted to do this morning as soon as I was up and chores were done. I already know it will be one of very few movies that rank as influential to whoever watches it. No one could possibly tell you this enough for you to really hear it - you are doing a great job raising those kids, and they will go on to do their own great things whatever they may be because they watched you struggle through your own process.
