If your vehicle is equipped with a tachometer,"train" your accelerator foot to try to keep the RPM's below 2500...My younger daughter WAS  very heavy-footed and, she always whined about her MPG... Since I showed her this simple hack, her mileage went up on 10%...It also saves a lot of wear and tear on your drive train...Now we like to 'compete' over who is getting better mileage

Oh my goodness...Is there any wrong way to make deviled eggs?...My wife is a stickler for "her" recipe but I am a self-proclaimed recipe test dummy. These ALL look fabulous to me! (my daughter says I'm part goat)  I'm gonna bookmark this and get busy trying all of these marvelous ideas...
Thanks to all the Permies who shared!

I would definitely re-pot to a larger pot, top dress it with some worm castings and water with rain water.

Cecile, you might try heating some bricks or concrete blocks in front of your propane heaters and place a few in your chicken coop for some radiant heat. It might be just enough to keep the girls a little warmer. A couple 50 watt heat lamps can go a long way too. (provided the power doesn't go out)...Good luck

Personally, I would use pallet wood scraps to seal-up any gaps. It's free, easy and it gets a second life...Landscape fabric falls high on my really dislike it list. I'm sure there is a valuable function for it somewhere in the universe...I have yet to find that function....

My favorite hoe is from easydigging.com...It has a heavy duty 5' handle and the pointed blade weighs 2#...It sounds heavy but, the weight of the tool does all the work.
