from what I havelearned so far...Sharing the abundance from a
permaculture system is part of what we do. I am wondering what you have that is abundant this year at harvest and who gets the excess?
Today I got a big bag of yellow string beans from a lady at work that has a postage stamp sized
yard. She had too many! just a few plants in a
raised bed and more than she could eat. growing ones own food is reaching the mainstream!
Any Whooo....I am sure that most of you have already gotten the cold shoulder when offering free zuchinni to neighbors and friends. too much zuchinni happens too often
I have been sharing Beets, Carrots, Cabbage......
soon I will be able to share seeds too. Mostly herb seeds right now but I think that herbs are "Gateway" plants. everyone starts with herbs (even though most of the time they don't really know how to use them) But...if they can grow those successfully then they move on to the veggies. I am talking about culinary herbs , by the way..haha
I have also been covertly influencing
permaculture too. I can raise awareness when I talk about how awesome my garden is doing, despite bad weather....or when I comment " hey look at these yummy little cucumbers i grew".
I hope I can just inspire one person to grow something or forage something.
So what do you got too much of in your garden?
