I collected some seeds from this tree recently and would like to learn more about it. This one is growing in zone 6b, thanks in advance.

Ash, I think.  Not the same species we have here though.

I believe that is a green ash tree (Fraxinus pennsylvanica), but if not green, it is at least an ash of some kind.

If it is ash, I wouldn’t bother to plant them because of the Emerald Ash Borer. It sounds unstoppable, but I haven’t read anything lately. I will see if I can find anything hopeful.

They are really nice trees though.

It looks like Emerald Ash Borer hasn’t found Idaho yet.
