No goat owner wants sick goats, regardless of how much they cost or whether they're registered or not.
In the end it is up to individuals to work out what is best for them and their herd. You have dealt with people that are doing things one way, and Permies is a good place to share other approaches. If I hadn't responded to this thread and you'd only received an answer recommencing particular shots, maybe someone reading this thread might be put off owning goats, as they'd be too worried about needing chemicals to prevent things from going wrong.
Copper works by correcting the goat's nutrition, to make them healthy enough to resist parasites, rather than as an anti-wormer itself.
