Hi!  I am currently in California working on a permaculture project testing out some experimental methods of my own.  One is installing a garden where a bulldozer had scraped away topsoil leaving the ground barren, infertile and hard packed.  The other is installing a micro-farm in a meadow without disturbing the soil, microbial networks,  and bio-films,  but instead plugging into them, enhancing them and enhancing the native soil foodweb.

Once the experiments have yielded results which will be from now through fall, I have not decided whether I should stay here to scale up and expand,  or if I should really try to find a place where my vision can develop and I can dig in my roots. I do not own the land I'm using now.

It has occurred to me that what might be best is to find an intentional community that could use me for my knowledge, experience,  my firm grip on biological horticulture and natural farming and my vision, and who really wanted to create something and had the laborers to do it.

It has also occurred to me that what might be best to really make something happen is to find a mate and farm partner in a comparable woman.

Maybe ideally you have land that we can build something on,  or maybe we stay here,  or mraybe we find something together?  I am open to any of that, but I see my ideal mate as owning her own land,  but again, that is not required.

About me-

First of all I am a single parent.  I have an 11 y/o boy  who is homeschooled.  I am also broke because I am a man of my vision and pursue my passion over materiel wealth or a false sense of security.

Much more of a starving artist than a scrub or a bum,  but starving is not quite the right word.  Maybe I am ultimately just a forest mendicant whose is trying to improve their surroundings to make a life of less work that is more conducive to deep meditation that I will enjoy in another lifetime? Either way,  the one thing money can't by is real food with actual nutrients and minerals which is what I'm working for and soon, it maybe a little later if I move, but soon enough I will have plenty of produce to sell.

I am 44, 5 11, 160, brown/blue, strong,  in good shape and becoming healthier while gaining weight due to my having quit a 32 year cigarette smoking habit about 4 months ago.

People tell me that I am handsome.

I have been called "the most intelligent person I have ever met... " on multiple occasions.

I have a meditation practice,  and consider life,  all its experiences, hardships, blessings and choices as a spiritual path and I consider it a duty to work on my self and to strive for authenticity and honesty.

I am an innovative thinker,  independent,  and have a very firm grip on biological horticulture,  and Natural Farming techniques.

Not looking for "traditional" roles, not looking to dominate and control,  much more interested in working hand in hand and mind in mind, in what we offer eachother, and become as an entity together.

If you are interested,  please respond with a pic to-

sprouted01@gmail.com

And I will provide my pic in my response back

I realize that this is a MAJOR long shot,  but I also see this as possibly a very practical place,  and way to possibly find the perfect match.

I am interested in getting to know someone first a little before rushing into anything. We can figure out how as it moves along.

Hi! I’m seriously looking for a partner, although I’m a bit far from you. But if you’d like to be friends to start perhaps that doesn’t matter. If you’re interested, please send me a note or an email sonjanorton01@gmail.com

I work a corporate gig and am currently working towards renovating my home to make enough money when I sell it, so I can buy a nice plot of land!

I’m adding small permie gardens into this little plot ofland (but not too much as I plan to leave one day, and it’s time consuming and expensive!)

Hope to hear from you soon!
Sonja

Your "personal resume" looks good.  I'm curious, what would you say are your downfalls?  What do you feel you need to work on?

I consider my whole being as something that constantly needs working on,  but downfalls are relative.  To list them off as ones own personal traits is grasping at the ego.

Does your husband know you're pursuing my singles as with curiosity?

Just to post an update; I've talked to a few women  who responded to this thread. Over all it's been a good experience, and although I have not met my perfect match I still think there is a decent chance at that through this forum. All the women who responded are awesome, but for whatever reason we're not the perfect match for me.

I would like to say though, please do not respond with just your number, and telling me to call you.

For me, the type of person I am is not likely going to respond to that. Please respond with a pic and tell me something about yourself so that when I do call I have at least some background so I know who I'm calling.

I've already divulged a little about myself so if you don't do the same then we are on even ground when the time comes to talk. I'm definitely not interested in emailing forever but it serves an initial purpose.

I've never asked a stranger for her number, and that's kind of what that is like.

Also, that way I can send a pic and a response which will give you a better idea of who it is might be calling, or if you even really want me to.

Other than that as far as updating the post. Most of it still goes. The difference is that I have moved locations. I am still in California but way up North. I am on a piece of property with a small farm that I can take over if I want, but I'm not too attatched to the situation so I am still flexible about location.

I am still very hopeful that my perfect match is out there!
