We use milkyday. It is a decent product. If you can, hunt the junk stores for a cream separator. You may be able to land one of a higher quality and lower price. The advantage, for me, of the Milkyday is that it is relatively light weight. Some of the separator s from the 1920s were pretty hefty.

I looked at the Milky Day website and they look really good but we're off grid and have very limited electricity so I was really hoping for a manual/non electric version.
I have seen a couple of those giant cream separators that you mentioned though. They look like real monsters and very complicated.
