Hanging Tomatoes

I remember seeing a photo once someone who, in order to save space in a greenhouse, planted their tomatoes in hanging baskets, and letting the plants hang down.

I am curious to know if Dr. Dan knows about this method and if so, how successful is this method?

I grew several in water and vinegar jugs. This particular one is still producing from the top plant.

Excellent.  I was starting to think I had imaginesd it.  This looks like a great way to grow tomatoes.

Hey, this is neat. Ev n how you mounted the tomato on the post probably provided some shade for the roots.

Do you find you have to water often?

Our summers are warm. Placed just right I think these could work well for us.

Since they were experimental I only made a few. I hung two on post and a few off sturdy tree limbs. This is the only one with a plant on top. It’s still producing but the bottom plant died. I neglected  them pretty much since I have other gardens.
