Sheet mulching with WVO cardboard

So I have lots of cardboard from WVO containers, its the piece of cardboard that surrounds the 5 gallon carboys. A good majority of them have about 50% wvo soaked into the cardboard, are these okay to use? Will the oil negatively impact soil health>?

shouldn't be a problem. just make sure to soak the ground underneath before you lay it down. any cardboard can prevent precipitation from getting into the dirt until it starts to break down. oily cardboard would do so even more.

Here's the mega-thread on cardboard/paper as mulch.
Lots of info for you to read through. Then you can make your own decision. Personally I try to avoid paper/cardboard, but I'm slowly realizing that having such strict limits really makes things difficult to move things forward. Perhaps the way out of the conundrum is to look long term and not sweat some of the toxic stuff at the beginning.
