Hi,. New to forum, just discovered this! I am a 34 yo male from Minnesota. I have an off grid property in northern Wisconsin by lake Superior that I started a few years ago.  I used to have a hobby farm, but the last 4 years I have been stuck in suburbia working construction.  I got tired of the rat race and went through the loss of a long term relationship.  I have two kids 15 and 16 but they prefer living in town.  I currently have an online business, real estate income from flipping property and am a licensed fishing guide.  I have 2 hunting dogs that are like my best friends.  Another reason for being off the grid is having room to roam.for my dogs, that I love to play with every day!  I enjoy hunting (humanely/ fair chase) and fishing for food.  I like living a healthy lifestyle and physical fitness/working out.  I used to have a small acreage/hobby farm and would be interested in farming again possibly.  I enjoy anything outdoors and doing projects.  Love off road and atv riding.  Brand new 4x4 truck and atv.  I am looking to build a off grid cabin summer 2022.  Trying to make this year the best year of my life, despite all the BS I went through recently.

I am looking to build a new life in the wild country of northern Wisconsin, but it is much more enjoyable with company!  Most of my good friends and family are busy doing life and I'm looking to make some additional ones that share common interests.  I am easy going, very laid back, it's hard to get me upset, you have to try really hard. Lol. I used to go out, smoke and drink but quit about 3 years ago.  I actually like my sober life much better, but could care less if you do.  Still like to hangout and cook food/bbq.  I love having loyal friends and would give the shirt of my back and last dime to anyone of my buddies and relatives.  I love spending time alone in the wilderness also and know many good places to go. I love physical fitness, working out, healthy living (ha!).

Anyone interested in joining me in this lifestyle is welcome as long as they respect the land and are decent enough moral standards.  I am generally pretty law abiding and don't like anyone involved with drugs or crime.  Zero tolerance for abuse and disrespect ful behavior.  That said it definitely would be nice to have some company at my property.  Rolling hills situated near the shores of lake superior.  Trout fishing and cold water fisheries abound.  Campers welcome.  I am building a cabin this summer, lax building codes.  I have a camper now. I like to clean the place clean and tidy as possible.  Bring your atv, I border ATV trails and public land inside national forest.  5.1acres boarding public land.  I have an additional 5.5 acres but am selling that one.  No neighbors as far as the eye can see, but only 5-10 minutes to edge of town.  On the edge of massive National forest wilderness (over 1 million acres).  A true slice of paradise.  Beautiful hardwoods and pine forest, clear cuts and open space. Winter can be cold and snow pack gets deep, bring your cross country skis and snow shoes.  Summers are beautiful, wildflowers bloom everywhere.  Fall colors are unbelievable. Fish and game actually abundant!  Not far from upper peninsula Michigan border.  I always stay busy working on stuff but I love to have an extra/hand and opinion.  Never get bored but I enjoy friends and people that are adventurous and recognize that the status quo and keeping up with the jones is not all that it's made out to be.  Politics and religion: I am tolerant of all views but I am mostly libertarian, but Im not bothered by different opinions even if I don't agree(I might laugh though!)  People down on their luck or needing a place to stay, if you like outdoors welcome as long as they leave their trouble at the front gate.  I enjoy helping other whenever possible, gives me a sense of conviction and confidence that the world is not all bad and that good is everywhere.  I try not to judge, not always easy.  Been in this area 2 years.  Looking for for friends to chill with that live in separate quarters from me.... Or lady/girlfriend who doesn't hate the outdoors that is comfortable living in an off grid cabin with me.  ideal Girlfriend  wouldn't have to work if she doesn't want, or can work a fun partime job, but I like to spend plenty of time together. I'm not controlling and put freedom and liberty at the top of my list.  Looking for a long term relationship only.  I'm not a player and am very loyal.  My zodiac sign is leo in sun if you are Interested in that stuff. am not interested in short term one night stands.  My last relationship was 17 years and it's the only one I've ever had.I don't like being told what to do so I don't tell a lady how to live.  Girl who doesn't mind a beard also, I hate shaving even though I admit I look much better/younger, I like having at least a short beard, but occasionally will shave it off.  I realize alot of women hate this, but I don't care. Lol. I stay in good shape and most of the year have decent abs figure for 34 yo. I take good care of myself but  it's harder to act like a pretty boy back in the holler!  I like to get a little dirty sometimes.  I got sick of the bills of a suburban home and looking for a more minimalist approach to life.  Small cabin tiny home off grid is what I'm looking for

If interested email and/ or call text.

The cabin picture is about the size design I'm planning on building.  I could build with logs possibly but I hate cutting mature timber and destroying quality trees.  Just have the camper for right now.  I have worked as a framer/carpenter, never worked with logs though...

Helloooo! I admire what youโ€™re saying here. I was born and raised in Wisconsin, but currently living in Oregon for the past 11 years. However I dream of moving back to northern wisconsin for many reasons. Safety, more room for my dogs to roam, away from society and more involved in nature, and mainly because I crave the hard work.
Iโ€™d love to meet you next time I swing through Wisconsin for a visit with my fam. Maybe we can exchange numbers and chat a bit. See if weโ€™re comparable humans? Haha
I hope to hear back from ya. ๐Ÿ’

Might not be your target audience but if you ever want to get back into hobby farming without having to run that farm let me know I've got plans to move off grid but I'm being held up by life. I can help you to get out of the suburbia with a successful farm. I'm a maker and I hunt and fish like crazy, I have a dog and cat who are both super friendly just wary like myself. If youre interested in more of an off grid community situation I think I'd be your guy for that. Reply if you end up seeing it and wanting to I'd be very interested in working with you
