I'm fighting some contamination in my various fungal projects of late. But I'm trying to keep in mind I'm dealing with an ecosystem here, not a small set of variables.

Of all the strains I'm working with, Pleurotus ostreatus is proving competitive enough to stave off certain other microbial characters.

Here's a timelapse of a similar process taking place:

It seems like permies, of all people, should be able to combat the typical modern biophobia and come up with truly constructive responses to this sort of thing.

How do y'all feel about cameos by other less desirable organisms in your fungal endeavors?

Please let me know exactly what your fungal projects are.  I had been having periodic problems with jars and bags in the past. So I bought a hepa filter to build a flow chamber.  I haven’t built it yet but my contamination problems have all but disappeared
