We are building several walipini greenhouses this summer. We want to create raised beds for the plants, I am wondering in we can use hugelkultur in the beds, or would the confined nature of the beds (only open on one side) not let the hugelkultur breath enough. I can't foresee any negative effects, but I don't want to set up a system that will be unhealthy for our plants.
Over ten years later it would be good to hear from Shane as to how the went.
It seems to me that Utah would be good for both hugelkulture and walipini.
