howdy
well i guess this is where we introduce ourself.
well here goes --I an 64 years young .
at one time many years ago ---i was 9 at the time ---we left the farm---i wish we never left ---that is were my heart is ---i loved it ---if i could only go back ---but know i am terminal on og 24-7
it is so nice to hear someone talk about the country --i really don't and never did like the
city.
i still warsh out some of my cloths and put out to dry---i love it --it smells so good when taken it--the heavy things my daughter warshes for me.
when able i still like to bake bread and things--i miss canning the vegtables.
now i am trying to weave a rag rug on a loom i made [with help] and i try to some quilting.
next year i will plan a garden with my daughters help.
i miss eating field corn right out of the field
i miss the smell of the
hay at haying time--
i miss the smell of the barn
i miss fresh warm
milk right from the cow
at my friends house there was no
water in the house --we had to pump it and bring it in the house---and there was no inside bathroom
when warm out we would take a bath outside in one of the warsh tubes---when cold we put the warsh tub next to the
wood stove to try to keep warm.--i call them the good old days,
and the school i went to had to floors -first grade to eighth upstairs ---high school downstairs,some kids road their horses to school --i did ride a school buss or if i missed it i had to walk to school --i remember it as being a long walk -i did not want to miss the buss---we had chores before school and after .
so many things i remember ---i could go on and on
