burning old tobacco sticks in rocket heater

Is there any problem burning old tobacco sticks in an indoor wood/rocket stove?

(By "tobacco sticks", I mean the oak sycamore or poplar sticks used to hang tobacco in the rafters of a barn while curing)

Lots of farms around here are dumping these now that they are no longer growing tobacco.
Just want to be sure I'm not missing something before I go get a few loads of these.
