The plan was to spend February cleaning out a bunch of honeysuckles and greenbriars, step 1023 of reclaiming the
land. But every few meters, I run into a praying mantis egg case. Now, I'm fond of those ladies and I don't want to disrupt their lifecycle, so I leave a clump of vines around each one. I'll have to go back and kill those in May, when I have plenty of other jobs to do.
Can you all recommend a useful shrub that I can put in those vicinities, which the mantises will regard as an acceptable substitute?
