I'm running a kickstarter campaign for my new book, which is about the climate change-fighting potential of perennial crops and regenerative farming systems. I'm looking at all the world's climates and a huge range of perennial staple crops, including major crops and new things under development but not yet ready for prime time.
Hi everyone, just wanted to add that if donations through Permies total $1000 or more, I'll include you in the dedication of the book right alongside my high-rolling $1000 individual donors.

Hi Eric - I made a pledge and I am a member of permies.com but I don't think I went through this site to make the pledge. Would permies get credit for that?

Ah... bummer! I really wanted a copy of the book but the backer level that I could actually afford is all gone already. ($22 level). But I will share the link on my facebook page anyway so maybe some of my friends will get it and I can barrow it from them some time.
Way to go permies, in just a few days you pledged over $1,500. That's not counting at least a few of you who had already pledged. You've made your way into the dedication of the book.
Here's a photo of an ear of a perennial corn hybrid. We're clearly not there yet, but with enough funding the Land Institute could have perennial corn ready for field testing in a decade. This one was bred by my friend Craig Hepworth.
