So, I was reading on Huffington Post about "What the Heck is Permaculture," and saw that they are launching a No Impact Week based on the No Impact Man.

Well, all that surfing led me to this video about the fun theory. Too cool.

It is way cool.  It certainly does add a big dose of cool to a city.

I wonder what usership of the stairs might be like two months later.

I hear ya, Brenda! I'm terrible with getting exercise myself and try to use my own, albeit much milder fun theory-esque combinations to get myself moving. E.g., my community clubhouse has a treadmill I will use on dark fall/winter evenings, but only while reading a good book. Or, I love to walk outdoors with a friend--the company and conversation makes it far more interesting to me.

We're so full of doom-and-gloom about the environment and our health that I think the more positive we can be about changing behavior, the better!

The No Impact Man keeps saying he's had a better quality of life through "unplugging," though I think most people can't quite grasp that, or are overwhelmed at the thought of incorporating all the changes his family made.

What would be a small, simple, first step change, like these fun theory piano stairs, but for individuals at home?

This last one is my favorite. Maybe they need a version of this for my teenager's laundry basket...

Ooo, ooo! Better yet, washing dishes activates his favorite youtube videos in a screen near the sink - he can only watch it while actually washing things.

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work - Edison. Tiny ad:
