Austria with Sepp Holzer 2013

I'm very pleased to announce to the Permie People that we are now taking registration for the Holzer AgroEcology trip to Austria this summer.

The 8 day Austrian Intensive will be from August 1st to the 8th. The first day in Austria (July 31st) we will be arriving in Vienna, acclimating to the time zone difference, seeing the city and getting ready for the workshop starting the next day.

The first 5 days of the workshop are with Sepp, the next 3 days are with Perma-Vitae and some traditional farming families from the area. The workshop schedule is as follows:

Days 1 - 4 we will be with Sepp at his new farm for the first workshop ever! We get the great fortune to see Sepp in his element, as he starts the transformation of his new farm, the Holzerhof. This is a once in a lifetime experience to say the least. To be there at the very beginning, with the master of permaculture himself, as he starts to Seppify his new land!

Day 5 we will be visiting the Krameterhof with Sepp, a rarity these days as it is now Josef's farm.

Days 7 - 9 will be with PermaVitae in Ubelbach. This will include a workshop on beekeeping, how to work with traditional tools, using natural materials from the garden to make washing powders, shampoo, soap, touring an open air museum with traditional farmhouses, and enjoying the traditional festivities on the final evening in Ubelbach.

Some more eye candy, these are my favorite moments from the amazing tour we had this spring. A huge thanks to everyone who made these moments possible. The students, the countless volunteers who helped make it happen, and the big man at the head of the empire, Paul Wheaton!

With all of the amazing experiences had and knowledge gained during this spring tour, I can only imagine what we will be able to accomplish on Sepp's stomping grounds, in his own element. Witnessing a master at his work!
