Looking for family-friendly holistic community!

We are looking for an intentional community or ecovillage or neighborhood with like-minded families. We'd love to find a place with a strong crunchy community (holistic/non-toxic living/no 🧁/medical freedom). Where homeschooling is easy. Long growing season, access to organic foods, lots of homesteaders, and kids. We'd prefer warmish weather all year but are open for the right place. Safe. Good air quality. Good alternative schools or forest schools or homeschool coops. Low chance of tornadoes. Fun events, kids activities, nature, swimming, etc.

We're a small family just looking for our place in the world. We'd love to be a part of something and help each other live a more sustainable, healthy lifestyle. I don't believe we were meant to do it all alone, community and support are essential.

Would also love to connect with other families who share the same vision and would be open to starting something as well!

Any and all ideas are open! 🙂

Hi HH,
I just joined this forum and found your thread when searching for posts on ecovillages.

We have a home for sale right now in a lovely ecovillage in Iowa. It might not be exactly what you are looking for based on a couple of your comments, but here's some info if interested: https://permies.com/t/262571/Ecovillage-home-sale-Fairfield-Iowa#2580250

Also, we are selling to move closer to family in southern Arizona (rural land outside of Tucson). There are 5 other 10 acre plots for sale surrounding us. It's all owned by a local resident of the area who has decided to just start selling things off as he is getting older. There were 2 plots around us that have been sold and purchased by people interested in self-sufficiency and sustainability. It would be great to have more like-minded people around us.

Your vision and goals definitely resonate. I would love to create an intentional neighborhood where we're headed in Arizona. I understand the desert isn't for everyone.. but I'd be happy to share more information about the area if you have any interest.

Either way, hope you find exactly what you're looking for

Blessings,
Angela

Hello Niki
We are a small family here in Haines Alaska looking for other families like yours. We own a small piece of land in a beautiful area and would love for others to join us. We  hunt and gather and fish and grow gardens and generally try to live more fully every day. Our older son was homeschooled throughout, (he's 22 now) and our younger son, (13) has been going to the town school for a few years and is ready to go back to homeschooling. Thats funny you used the word crunchy. I wanted to make a hat that says, MAKE AMERICA CRUNCHY AGAIN. Your likely looking for warmer climates, but I wanted to reach out anyway.
