47 SWM looking to build something

I’m Chris, 47 and currently in FL. I have property in NC I’m working on and plan to move there to live off grid. Simple but comfortable. Not primitive lol. I’m kind, protective, honest and hardworking. I love to travel, hike and cook. I value morals and always keep my promises. 6’ tall 190-200 lbs. brown hair and brown eyes. The beard is a little more gray than brown these days. I honestly just want to share a simple life filled with simple pleasures with a woman who wants the same. I have minimal experience in off grid life but I’m learning and have enjoyed every bump in the road so far.

Where is your property in NC?

I have property in western NC that I have been working on creating a small homestead.

I used to live in Central FL. What area are you from?

I’m 48 SWF, 5’8.

My property is in Person County. It’s near Mayo Lake. It’s about 5 miles south of Virginia. I’m currently in the Tampa/St Pete area. How’s the homestead going? Are you off grid? I’m planning on an off grid homestead. My good friend is going to be coming up with me. He lived off grid in Colorado for 3 years. We figured 13 acres is plenty to split. Do you have anyone helping?

Update… I think I might be loosing hope with this online community stuff. So far I haven’t seen any “community” in any of the places I have visited. Am I doing this wrong? I’d honestly like some help if that’s the case. But still looking. It was a long shot for me to begin with. Hope someone is having better luck than I am.

Hi Chris! Saw you’re in the Tampa area - hope the recent storms haven’t been too unkind to you. I’m not far - in the Orlando area. I’m new to this site so I just wanted to say hi!
