straw, and protects the bench from the hard knocks that could knock a corner off of your bench !
Some people think the smell of linseed oil as it is heated/dries is nasty.
I have a secret weapon, a craftsman with dozens of plaster recipes dating back to the Dark ages !-Unfortunately he is even more of a computer-phobe than me.
