Hello Northwestern, inland folks - I'm looking for a stand alone rental, but not just a rental: what I'd really love is to be part of some kind of community, even if that's just a couple other people who would like to share their land and have someone there to share gardening, building, animal care, etc. It could be a partial work/trade situation, or a reasonably priced rental that comes with opportunities to participate in gardening and animal care, etc. Do you need an extra pair of hands to help build a sauna or a natural building, help with land tending, or do you want to learn to sew all the things? Or, would you like another person around to take care of things when you're out of town? I love working on projects that involve natural materials, nature, and self-sufficiency, as well as the idea of becoming more sovereign - in a positive, let's all evolve and build new skills kind of way, as opposed to a let's disconnect and survive while the world self-combusts kind of way. Generally positive and communicative, I enjoy a balance of spending quiet time with my sweet kitty, Lily, and being social/working on community projects, and potentially working toward a bigger vision - whether it's land stewardship, building, planting new varieties of edibles, or creating sanctuary to share with the wider community. I'm mature, responsible, and stable; awake, substance-free, and regenerative food focused and ask the same. My life is built around health, freedom, creativity, and aspiring sovereignty. If this aligns with your vision, and you have some extra space and a desire for someone to join you, please let me know!
Cheers, Susanna

There is the Wheaton Labs option!

Maybe the SEPPER program?

Hi Susanna, We currently have someone for the time being, but perhaps keep in touch if Missoula, Montana is somewhere you’d like to be. We have a sweet tiny house on our small subsistence farm just outside city limits. Garden, hoophouse, dairy goats, chickens, small orchard, room to expand the growing area for food and native plants/habitat. We’ve done a half work - half rent arrangement before with mixed results, but have trust that it can work wonderfully.
Feel free to contact me through here. I think I have notifications on. I’m also going to have a baby in 1 month so things will get busy for us very soon.
Best wishes
Ali

Check your pockets for water buffalo. You might need to use this tiny ad until you locate a water buffalo:
