I am new to Oregon, and gradually finding my way here. I am hoping to live in the Portland area this late winter, spring and summer and will be looking for work that will also offer me lodging. I am not a certified permaculturist, but am quite familiar with the practices and am a firm believer in organic gardening and the fight against GMO foods and seeds.
I am a creative thinker, good with problem solving, resourceful, hard working and am great with people. I am currently enrolled in an online program with my university where I am three years into my bachelors degree of Environmental Studies and Sustainability. During the time I hope to move to Portland (mid-end Jan.) I will be researching and writing about starting a non-profit for my school semester and at that time will also be working to start my own. I would LOVE to get involved with like minded non-profits in the area, but understand that many of them do not have paying positions much less positions that could offer me lodging.

If anyone knows of any work exchange programs or opportunities I would GREATLY appreciate hearing about them. If anyone would like to talk with me further about this please send me a message here or to my personal e-mail lelahb39@yahoo.ca
I would also be happy to share my resume including previous gardening/permaculture experience with references.

I look forward to meeting some of you permies in the Portland area and to be able to explore all the good work taking place up there!
