Howdy Mikael, looking good.
Just for my knowledge too...it seems like I have read somewhere about what causes the cracks in cob. Maybe the proper sand clay ratio?
Anybody out there know about that?
Thanks Miles
Actually it is just Caralina clay mud no organic content(cob) at all; the base is made of old concrete blocks stacked with loose fill dirt then the outside is about 2-3inch of mud done in 4 parts hand smoothed nothing fancy just water and dirt(lost of clay content) the inside is also made with the same mud used to hold the fire bricks togethe in the tower. But thanks for the pointer about effieniency that is proveing so true this thing is unreal I will look at the article. There are still a few cracks but those are part of the charm the rest is smooth and clean to the touch.
I will work on my grammar and spelling, and do you respond to your own post? I am such a newbie to posting stuff. First rule one feed at a time! Thanks for feed back. Last pic is of the inside before it was modified to have a higher stack and bigger exhaust tube.
I don't even know how to spell CIA. But this tiny ad does:
