Round pole Framing in Michigan ~ Strawbale Studio

Hey there, from the Strawbale Studio in the Midwest ! Since taking a Cob Cottage Course in 1996 I have been doing natural building and sustainable living skills.

I love "round wood" timber framing and lash work. Both these vernacular forms are some of the earliest building modalities. Below is just one of the Asian folk styles I work in. These photos are of authentic "Dong style Timber Framing" from China.
