I love Wendell Berry. I'll attempt an honest answer, though I don't know if you are seeking one

1) For a TRUE free market based on EQUITABLE global trade (not based on imperialism and corecion) as much as I have to and as little as I can get away with. There are paint chips in my yard - I will eat the lead. I eat the muscels from the beach even though the water gets more poisoned by the day. It is an acceptable risk to me compared to the wars we carry out for conquest to insure the oil and land for cash crops on which our current system depends.

2) Ever seen a tastefully vandalized Ronald MacDonald?

3) I'd sacrifice much to preserve Culture and civilization. I already do not drive. I don't have a TV. No fridge. I've always thought that mount rushmore was in fairly bad taste.

4) Lynnwood. I could defiantly do without Lynnwood. Talk about desecrated.

5) Yeah... Let just say this - my primary reason I am so against money is because lacking income is the only legal way I know to avoid paying federal taxes.

This is perfect. I would have never brought most of this stuff up.

2. For the sake of goodness, how much evil are you willing to do? --- You asked the wrong guy. I'm someone who believes that in many cases, the end justifies the means even if that involves total domination and enslavement of one's enemy.

4. In the name of patriotism and the flag, how much of our beloved land are you willing to desecrate? Desecrate is so broad. Pollute --- none ..... Turn into a big forced labor camp for polluters --- A couple thousand square miles, give or take.
List in the following spaces the mountains, rivers, towns, farms you could most readily do without. --- I'm Canadian. I've never been fond of Winnepeg or Sidney Nova Scotia. I think the states could do without Detroit and Cleaveland. Pretty run down.

None of the above are worth the life of one child even those belonging to the British Royal Family

Great to read some new (to me) Wendell Berry with my early morning coffee. I love how he can so clearly get to the heart of things...lots to ponder.
