I have an area of my
yard that was previously tilled for traditional
gardening (pre-My tenure as caregiver of this
land) and the tilling managed to create a massive number of wild raspberries. I've been keeping them cut to the ground (feeding the cuttings to my
rabbits). And, then, in a turn of irony, I tried to establish thornless raspberries in another section of the property and those did not take --the blackberries did but not the raspberries.
So, since these wild raspberries are determined to stay -- how can I set up a workable raspberry patch? Do I need to set up a
trellis or
fence for them to climb on?
