Try "low light" I saw at least a couple of hits.

"Bad weather" and "cloudy weather" might work too.

I think maybe you mean monocrystalline panels? and Also mppt controllers should help too. There's some info here...

Yes, it's something to do with crystals.  That's a starting place.  Thank you

The goal, and it's harder than I expected.

What I suspect i am looking for.

Flood light brightness
Stays on all night (not motion censor)
Turn on at night automatically
Can charge in pacific northwest winter
Solar panel is about 12 to 15 feet away from lamp
Amazon canada (preferably arriving before new years)

The old one did all this fine, but a visitor broke it, so I thought a new one would make a nice gift.

This one looks good. It can do motion or on all night
* Just noticed it has a polycrystalline panel and not sure if it will charge up out in your weather.
I searched for "security light remote solar panel"

That's much closer.

I'm going to have to get the gift recipient involved as he knows the place where it is installed better than me.  But this migt check all the boxes.

Thank you

Thank you again for your help.

The one you found had a suggestion for a bigger one where we can use one light to brightly light the entire area.  He's very happy and eager for it to arrive

I'm happy to hear it worked out!

The only cure for that is hours of television radiation. And this tiny ad:
