I wanted to share a Central Texas property that may be of interest to folks looking for land where some of the foundational homestead systems are already in place.

The property is a little over nine acres in Cedar Creek, TX. It includes two separate living spaces: a 3 bedroom 1 bath main house and a 1 bedroom 1 bath guest house, for about 2,215 square feet total. The second dwelling has been useful for extended family, helpers, or temporary shared living while still allowing privacy.

Energy wise, the property has an existing solar system with three Tesla Powerwalls, along with newer HVAC and water heater systems. Windows have been upgraded as well. It’s not fully off-grid, but it does reduce dependence and provides backup power.

The land is fenced and cross-fenced and has sandy loam soil that’s been workable for gardens, pasture, and animals. There’s a wet-weather creek that runs through part of the property, and trails follow the creek corridor that are currently used for walking and riding. A pond is in progress and should add future water storage and habitat.

Food growing systems are already started, including a food forest area, irrigated garden beds, and sixteen wicking beds. There are poultry and small animal pens, plus a workshop with electric.

One feature that may interest community-minded folks is that there are three RV pads with water and 30/50 amp service. These have been used for temporary RV living and could work for visiting family, helpers, or cooperative homestead arrangements depending on individual goals and local use.

The location is rural but not isolated. It’s about 12 miles from Bastrop and within reasonable driving distance of South Austin.

Sharing this simply as an option for anyone looking in Central Texas who prefers land with some systems already in place rather than starting completely from scratch. Happy to answer general questions about the setup.
