Hi everyone!

My fiancé (u/Jack Sato) and I are starting SKIP and want some clarification on how to format our submissions in regards to completing PEA and PEP. We are planning to mostly complete projects together, as we typically function as a unit and will be using this process to not only bond but work on our interpersonal work ethic in preparation for the permaculture lifestyle. Which leads me to my question:

Can Badges be earned by a couple, or only on an individual basis? If they are earned on an individual basis, and therefore through the respective submissions, will our submissions be rejected if they contain the same photos/projects?

We are eager to start SKIP and found that a lot of BB's are things we already do daily. Thank you for kindly considering this question!

EDIT: Answered! Thank you for taking the time to explain. The stew analogy and university analogy make a lot of sense and we will adjust accordingly.

Badge bits are evaluation of an individuals efforts. The intent is to show that the individual person can accomplish a task (to standard) without outside help unless the BB specifically states otherwise.

You will need to provide your own photos for each submission, you cannot use the same photos for the same submission twice. It has to be unique independent work for each submission.

Welcome

They need to be earned as individuals.   Think of it like a university degree.

So if two people were making stew together, each person would submit their own bb.  But there would need to be some way of making it obvious that each individual person made the reauired amount (stew twice the size perhaps) And each individual did the reqired tasks.

It seems easier to have person A make stew one week and person B make the stew next week.

The key with submissions is to read the requirements carefully and make it as easy as possible for the person to approve it.  Sharing photos between different submissions, would make it harder for someone to easily say "yes, that person did the work and meets the requirements".

Again, think of it like university.   If we make things easier on the person marking the paper, it's easy to get an A.  But if the person marking the paper ever has to stop and ask...anything,...well, in the department I studied in, it was an automatic fail.

catch it before it slithers away! Oh wait, it's a tiny ad:
