Newledo Exploration Hub, an emerging regenerative experimentation center, located at the Central Oregon Coast, is seeking additional members. We have an 18-acre former dairy farm, 6,000 SF barn and a few different types of onsite housing.  Our current focus is in local food security, with developments in small scale biochar and ASP composting, food forests and permaculture. Two of our current members operate a small-scale biointensive farm on part of the property. The site also provides space for a beekeeper’s apprenticeship program, and free food share farmstand. Additionally we’re researching opportunities to bring hempcrete to the area. We are seeking those who want to reside onsite and launch or run a regenerative microenterprise such as mushroom farming, natural building practices, small-scale renewable energy systems, or… we’re open to new ideas and possibilities.

We’re particularly interested in those who want to be part of a community, who want to connect with others, find synergy in ideas and projects, share meals together and collaborate on festive events. Contact Nicole@NewledoHub.org or visit NewledoHub.org more details.

Welcome to permies Nicole!  I haven't heard of your community yet so its neat to learn about  it.  This can be a good place to find right fits.  Also consider posting at ic.org, another place to connect with potential intentional community members.

Looks like a really positive and inspired project! Would love to visit sometime. The 'upcycled' dairy farm model has spawned all kinds of cool cooperative ventures in the northeast states in recent decades, but I haven't seen many in the west yet. https://elkenmist.com just NW of Portland is a nice instance though, and maybe a worthy peer group to link with if you haven't yet. Good luck growing out!

Look at the smile on this tiny ad!
