Always listen to your instinct.

I was making the crisp in a small cast iron. I switched over to the large one since I was going to be cooking for more people, even though my instinct told me to keep it small.

When I took it out to add toppings, it fell onto the (dirty) floor.

I tried to salvage it but decided even if it were a clean floor, steaming rhubarb would have soaked up some nasty things I wouldn’t want to be eating. So I buried it in the garden.

This has been a day. Yesterday has been too, due to another ignoring an instinct.

Always listen to your instinct.

That sounds very stressful, I'm sorry that happened.  But your gut is smart, so listening to it is wise.

It is amazing how many times listening to that inne4 voice has saved my backside … and how many times not listening has got me in trouble.  I now routinely ask, “What can go wrong”.
