Update on the rocket kiln?

I recall hearing about the rocket kiln that was built at Wheaton Labs on one of the podcasts but I haven’t seen any updates. This seems like a really cool piece of technology and was wondering if it’s been well-received in the wood-fired ceramics community?

I don't know about the one at Wheaton Labs, but there is an active rocket kiln group on Facebook, The Wood Fired Rocket Kiln Project, with lots of people sharing their builds and results. Many get cone 10 and higher firings in just a few hours.

Yes, Lisa Orr has been invited to a number of gatherings to show people how to build and use rocket kilns. I believe it is really taking off in the pottery world.
