Very cool.

I'd certainly have guessed higher than $6,000, even just for materials.

It LOOKS expensive, but he chose to use a few good materials and do very minimal actual STUFF. There is no entertainment center or sound system, there is no bathroom or shower, there is a very simple kitchen area.

I have seen it somewhere else, but can't find it now. That article had more details on construction.

It is beautiful and has several good ideas for tiny or container houses.

What do you think of this bus?




This is my new bus.
I was going to buy then build a bus of my own but in the end it seemed a little cheaper and a LOT easier to buy one already done. I don't get the bathroom I wanted but I do get out of all the building nonsense.

She is a beauty! Old school buses are CHEAP, but transit buses have a BASEMENT!

Either one is a really cheap and strong shell for a tiny house, cheaper than you can build yourself and cheaper than the tow vehicle you need.

I am going to do this next year I hope. I want to build it modular--sleep at least 12 for family vacations but fold/remove the bunks for a getaway cabin for two.
