Hello permaculture goofballs,

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a free online tool that I could use to draft a permaculture base map? It would be particularly helpful to have access to a feature where I could type in precisely how long the lines need to be, just so everything is to scale.

We just use Google Maps.

It will let us mark different spots on our property (like the dump where we deposit deer carcasses) and I think gives us GPS coordinates.

I built a garden planner for this, leaftide.com, has a plot designer where you can map out beds and elements to scale. Not a full permaculture design suite but handles the basic layout side well enough. Google Earth is another option if you want to trace your actual land boundaries first.
