I need a plant which

Is ephemeral;

Is edible;

Tolerates alkaline soil;

Can take sun to part shade;

Will survive in Denver Colorado;

and is something other then Spring Beauty.

Can you help me out?

I think the Plants For a Future database will help with finding more of the plants you are looking for.

Why is the word "abbreviation" so long? And this ad is so short?
