Brown fungi?

Found these in the yard today. Guessing they're some type of fungus? Any help with ID would be appreciated.

Hi Miles. Well it's in Brooklyn, NY in my yard. The wood is unknown to me other than it was driftwood that was reclaimed as an art piece. That's it standing in the back of the yard.



It appears to be secreting some sticky substance. Not sure if it's fungi or some kind of nest Haven't disturbed it and won't until it can be identified.

Happy I found this site. I love mushrooms and fungi and it seems there's plenty of good info here on how to utilize them

It doesn't look like any kind of fungi I've seen before. What I would do is take it to my local mushroom club who would probably have a lot more knowledge about wild mushrooms in your area. I live a long ways away.
