Garlic scapes called to me today.  Almonds, filberts toasted a bit, garlic scapes, little bit of  olive oil some, good parmesian, pinch of sea salt. Some good pasta....ahhhhhhh. Tasty!
I put a few leaves of basil in but you don't have to.

Fantastic.

I need to grow stiffneck next year. A good friend has dire nut allergies, and I'd like to make some pesto with sunflower seeds (the only option for her that I know of).

Joel,

what about pumpkin seeds?  they make pretty good pesto.

scape pesto sounds pretty good, too.  cool spring, so the scapes are just coming on up here.  I'm also partial to cilantro pesto.

I'll have to ask! It seems possible. I hadn't thought of pumpkin seeds before, thanks!

If you send it by car it's a shipment, but if by ship it's cargo. This tiny ad told me:
