Hey From Ireland!

Hey all! What a massive site, it took me about 1 hour to scroll down this section!

I'm never going back to working in an office type job ever again. If I were to design something that would slowly destroy the human soul - that would be it.

It took me 27 years to realise that I really have simple needs: Movement, Good Food, Friends. What is all this talk about hardwork, sweat and tears? I started looking for work on a farm, I really just wanted some open air and movement. The search led me to permaculture. As it turns out my mam is buying a place with a bit of land so I will move in there and start designing and growing tastey treats with a goal to move toward self-sufficiency.

Thanks for the welcome guys Just got my first book The Earth Care Manual by Patrick Whitefield. It is suited to temperate climate permaculture which is less represented in many others and I need to know how to handle all our lovily rain and gloomy skies!

I suspect water shortage wont be an issue
I often go up to Co Sligo for the music .

You certainly won't need any swales Patrick Whitefield is really great for our conditions.
